Soundtraxx Plug & Play Decoder for HO Athearn Genesis Diesel Models
We are pleased to announce our new Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU-GN1000! These 1 amp plug and play format sound decoders are designed to replace the light board that comes in recent Athearn Genesis HO Diesel engines. The TSU-GN1000 features the same great 16 bit sound found in all Tsunami decoders. Like most other diesel Tsunami decoders, each version of the TSU-GN1000 includes up to 16 airhorns appropriate to the era and prototype built in.

Each digital sound decoder can produce over 14 sound effects such as Diesel Exhaust (including all 8 notches), Engine Start-up, Engine Shut-down, Bell, Brake Squeal, Coupler Clank and more! Since all this great stuff is included, there's no need for additional software or special programmers.

This is the only Genesis-specific plug and play sound decoder currently on the market. The TSU-GN1000 has the capability to run the 1.5 Volt bulbs used in Athearn Genesis models without the need for external resistors or other electronics. These decoders are designed specifically for the Athearn Genesis models and are not suited for models by other manufacturers such as Atlas.

NEW! TSU-1000 for Southern Railroads
After many requests from our friends in southern regions, we are now producing a "Southern Steam"TSU-1000. This decoder will feature seven whistles often heard along the southeastern rail lines. The whistles are:

NEW! Tsunami for EMD 645 (Non-Turbo)!
Our Tsunami Digital Sound Decoder offerings continue to grow. We are pleased to announce the addition of the EMD 645 (2nd Generation) prime mover without turbo-chargers to our line of Tsunami diesel decoders. For those in the know, some prototypes were manufactured with a version of the 645 that did not have turbo-chargers. This would include such engines as the SW1500, MP15, GP38 and SD38. The decoders will include the 16 airhorns that are currently bundled with the 645 turbo-charged versions.

NEW! Tsunami for the Galloping Goose!
Our Tsunami Digital Sound Decoders are now available in a Galloping Goose version. Due to a growing number of requests, we've added a TSU-1000 model to our previously announced Micro-Tsunami version. This decoder will feature the 'true' Goose horn from Rio Grande Southern No. 5, which sits nearby in Dolores, Colorado. For those who like a little variety, we've included an assortment of other horns suitable for use in other railbus-type vehicles. And yes, the oft-loved, oft-maligned 'Aah-oogah' horn is part of the collection.

COMING SOON! Tsunami for Union Pacific Gas Turbine Models!
We are currently working on a Tsunami version for the Union Pacific Gas Turbine. In the late 40's, the Union Pacific had a small fleet of these engines that were used to haul freight between Council Bluffs, Iowa and Ogden, Utah. Over the years, there have been several models of the Gas Turbine manufactured, and due to their unique sound and the recent announcement from Athearn about their summer delivery of this model, the requests for a suitable Tsunami has been on the rise.

We expect these decoders will be in production next month - watch for our next announcement bulletin!
